Kris kringle Haus would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all of our old friends , and to the many new friends that we have made , for making our Orland park location a great success . Sales were up almost 50% over last year , and the new location was a delight for us to work in . We had lots of room to spread out , and showcase all of our products ; a major change from our old Geneva location where everything was packed in pretty tight . 1,500 people joined the Kris Kringle Haus family by requesting to get on our mailing list , so they can receive our fall opening postcard . Thanks , and welcome aboard .

Believe it or not , but we leave on 1/24/08 for Europe to start our buying for next Christmas ! Wow ! Cleo and I are sure to find lots of wonderful new lines , and more of your favorites . This will be the 19th European buying trip for us . While it is really more work than you might think , I still get excited about going , meeting our old friends , and finding new treasures .

We wish everyone a healthy , prosperous , and Happy New Year ! See you all again in November !

A little bit about us

Kris Kringle Haus is a premiere, seasonally open "Christmas Shop" in Illinois, with over 15,000 different items to choose from, specializes in finding unique, high-quality american made merchandise and the finest european products, which we import ourselves. After 16 years on historic Third Street in Geneva, Illinois, we were open for Christmas 2006 in downtown Palos Heights. We'll open again in the fall of 2007, again in the Palos-Orland Park area.

Proprietors Jim and Cleo Gierucki strive to bring the tradition of the German Cristkindlmarkt to the area. Each year all over Germany markets spring up in the main squares of every city as the Holidays approach. "We're going to make several improvements over the traditional Cristkindlmarkt. First, we'll be inside, warm and dry. Second, in addition to German glass and wood ornaments, nutcrackers, smokers, and pyramids, we'll also feature items from Italy, Poland, Austria, Russia, and the Czech and Slovak Republics.", says Jim.
